My Rainy Weekend Bell 47 Project
started with an FP hummingbird/draganfly clipped rotor hybrid
dug out some old broken skids and a lot of .05 CF rod
garage_flyer gifted me a beat up rotofly canopy
taped it off, and tore down the frame for some olive drab
popped all the electronics back on
just need to make the decals and she's done
3D Pro Canopy Update
Mocking up some options--L to R: Shogun v2, Shogun v1, Elite CP
stock canopy will not fit now with electronics positioned for stretched boom
I choose shogun V1, but the seams have to go
A quick photoshop mockup
Start with some strips of fiberglass using 6 minute expoxy instead of resin
This will provide reinforcement behind the seams after they are ground off
Use a dremel or other tool to grind off the unwanted seams
And a lightweight filler to smooth it out. Dry sand to 180.
Wet sand to 400
PPG DX330 tar remover--key ingredient for blemish-free finishes
After flexible sanding primer. Wet sand to 400, then to 600.
Mask and start spraying color
*#%!*& brand new rattlecan, too
Sanded out the drip
A bright white primer makes the fluorescents pop

Draganfly V1 HB Hybrid
I thought Garage_Flyer was giving me V3 parts
Oh well, the Draganfly parts work, though the swash is backwards
Had to rearrange everything. But, she flies very nicely on shortened blades.
