This tip is for all of you that fly T-Rex's. If you have recently had a crash(where the blades have come in contact with the ground) and you get your heli up and running and you don't have a lot of power or the motor even cuts out you may have burned out your speed control. What happens is when your blades contact the ground and your throttle is still in the up or power on position, this creates a spike in the voltage in the speed control which will permanently damage the speed control. So the tip is, if you know you are going to crash or have crashed immediately power off the throttle of pay the price in your speed control or motor.
I didn't take any photos directly after the crash because the battery in my camera was dead :( The list of broken parts are: HS1013 Tail drive gear Assembly XL$9.29, which was the cause of my crash, I went inverted and the top of the pully that the belt goes around broke off and the heli piroed inverted into the ground. HP2021Main Drive Gear Assembly with one way bearing $12.00, Pitch Control Arm $10.59(snapped in half), Main fram set $16.59(I used this for the front servo holders) Total: $52.47 That is without factoring in the Main blades, Blade grips, Flybar spindle, great looking canopy and my afternoon:) Here are some pictures of my T-Rex after I put all of the great new parts on.
